    "Last Saturday (12/31/11), Cha did fine as a service adviser, but I was told the parts were in stock, when actually the reflector was not. Because of that I had to make a second trip yesterday (1/4/12) to get the reflector, and then the self threading nuts to attach it to the body trim were not in stock. Pretty pathetic that you can't keep that type of inventory in stock. As to the broken eyebrow piece, the service tech should have taken a few minutes to see how badly it was damaged and recommended a replacement.     "The first time I called your service department for an appointment I had to leave a voice mail. That was at 7:30am on I believe a Friday. No one ever returned my call so I called back at 5pm same day. This was an electrical issue and was concerning to me. Because you never returned my call I had to wait another week and a half, until I was back in town. Your service person (Andrew?) told me if I don't receive a call back within a half hour, that I should call back. Not really a great plan if you ask me. A customer called you.     "The reason for my low score is this. I just brought my Mini in for service about 2 months prior. I have put on minimal mileage in the time since yet when I came in this time I was told that my maintenence warranty had expired 9 days earlier and I was due for a brake job, oil change etc. Why could this not have been told to me when I came in 2 months before??? The manager (who did not come and talk to me personally) authorized an oil change but nothing else due to the warranty expiring. The worst part about this is that I specifically asked if anything was coming up when I brought the car in earlier and was told no. That is what makes this service most unacceptable.     "The estimated work time was 2-3 hours, and that's what put into my schedule, the car had to be kept over night. I would have appreciated a loaner car in the beginning so I didn't have to wait around. I am a Professor at UC Davis and it was finals week, so my schedule was very tight.     "I am very happy! One quick comment. When you clean / vacuum the car, perhaps one of those micro fiber wipes would be helpful? Namely, if the customer clears out the door pockets and other parts of the car, then vacuum or wipe them down.     "I took my Clubman in for a planned service (30,000 miles) and told my service advisor, Cha, of a few concerns (Had to reset my time and date frequently, car would reset trip mileage, oil light on). These issues were not only not fixed, but they were never on the service receipt. The only comment on the service receipt was that I wanted rear wiper checked - never asked for this. So, I called to make another service appointment which is the service appointment for this survey. I never receivd a survey for the first appointment. Cha actually recommended I stop in at my convenience to have the problem looked at and when I did this (not convenient at all as I live 20 miles from the dealership) I was told it sounded like my Mini was "a little confused" (very condescending way to speak to a customer, in my opinion) and that I had to schedule an appointment.     "I recently brought my 07 MINI in because a red warning light came on. - steering wheel with a lock icon. Estimate for repair was between $900 - 1400. I was also told that I could apply for credit to finance the service fees. I then took my MINI to another shop for a second opinion, and to my surprise was told that the "faults" were one time faults and all was needed was to reset the computer. And that if the problem recurred, the next logical step would be to test the battery, as a low battery could have triggered this "fault." I'm incredibly disappointed in Niello as I can only come to one of two conclusions: either the Niello tech working on my car was incompetent (chasing a problem in the steering column that was really due to a battery or electrical issue), or dishonest (wanting to charge me for work that was not needed).
